Participation in the project
Online Stakeholder Survey
An online stakeholder survey was conducted in December 2024 with a range of stakeholders (e.g., public authorities, health service providers). The aim was to gather stakeholder perspectives and insights on biosimilar policies and practices, providing a comprehensive understanding of the barriers and opportunities for biosimilar uptake.
Results of the survey were presented in the study report published in December 2025.
Knowledge hub
A platform which offers relevant information on biosimilars for public authorities as well as further stakeholders is considered a valuable data source, especially if it could be sustained beyond the duration of the AUGMENT Biosimilars project. The EU Health Policy Platform (EU HPP) is considered as the most appropriate host for such a platform since it allows for creating an interactive, dedicated stakeholder network, to share knowledge and information on biosimilars. Therefore, a stakeholders’ network was established on the EU HPP, the "AUGMENT Biosimilar Knowledge Hub", and launched on 5 December 2024.
Key aims for the knowledge hub include:
• to establish a platform for interaction by sharing information and having vivid discussions;
• to inform stakeholders about the progress of the project e.g., deliverables;
• to monitor publications on Biosimilar policies and publish them in the network (“Biosimilar Wrap-up”).
For announcements of events on the Knowledge Hub, see here.
Accessing the knowledge hub
Stakeholders are invited to access the Biosimilars knowledge hub. For this, stakeholders need to be registered on EU Login to access the EU Health Policy Platform.
- More information on the registering process can be found in the EU HPP User Guide.
For accessing the Biosimilar Knowlege Hub, a restricted stakeholder network on the EU HPP, a manual has been prepared by the project team which can be downloaded in the following.
Meetings
Meetings and workshops were and are being organized to engage stakeholders, present and discuss findings, and gather feedback. These meetings provide a platform for stakeholders to learn about the project and its results and share their perspectives. Stay tuned for upcoming events and how you can participate. Your involvement is essential for ensuring that the project's recommendations are practical and effective.
AUGMENT Consortium members were also invited to meetings and conferences to inform about the project. If you are interested, feel free to address us (biosimilars@goeg.at), and as far as our resources allow, we are pleased to present the project.
